Deputy Housekeeper

looking for an Experienced Deputy Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate for the role of Duty Housekeeper will have experience in a busy 300 bedroom hotel within traditional surroundings and modern facilities. As a Duty Housekeeper you will need to demonstrate your ability to think on your feet, remain calm and controlled and above all have the determination to succeed in a successful and demanding environment.The Duty Housekeeper role is a crucial role for the hotel and the successful candidate will have the necessary skills to meet our exacting customer service standards, be able to influence and challenge the current status quo to improve ways of working and be flexible and willing to work within the Housekeeping Team to guide and lead by example. If you think you should be our new Duty Housekeeper,please consider the key requirements for the role as given below:

·Speak fluent English

·Attend to the opening of the housekeeping office as per rota, and be able to prepare worksheets for supervisors, room attendants and porters

·Assist in the control of keys and worksheets to all relevant housekeeping staff

·Ensure that the linen rooms and storerooms are regularly cleaned and tidy at all times. Ensure that stocks and linen are properly used to prevent spoilage, damage and waste

·Supervise the work of maids and porters and to take immediate action in cases where standards are not being met

·Responsible for dealing with VIP?s and ensuring all regular guests are recognised and dealt with accordingly

·Be fully conversant with the health and safety requirements and procedures across all hotel departments.

·Carry out duties in a proactive way as against being reactive, and be a visible presence across the Housekeeping Department and hotel.
